Lynx Partner Program - Partner Quotations

Gives channel partners autonomy to build quotations while the company stays the merchant of record: a partner drafts a quotation from an accepted deal registration, the order is created with the company as the seller and attributed to the partner, and it becomes a real sale only after approval (or automatically, per a per-partner auto-approve flag).

Because the order stays the company's, invoicing, collection and the existing payment-triggered commission engine are unchanged — approving a partner quotation attributes the client exactly as winning a registered deal does, so the partner's commission flows on payment with no separate logic.

Key Features

  • Partner-authored draft quotations — from an accepted deal registration, a partner builds a draft sale.order (seller = the company) in the portal, adding catalog lines within their level's pricelist.

  • Partner-sellable catalog gate — only products a manager flags lynx_partner_sellable appear in the portal catalog and may be added to a partner quotation, enforced server-side.

  • Approve or auto-approve — a partner quotation waits in a "To Approve" state until a Partnership Manager approves it; partners flagged lynx_quote_auto_approve skip the queue and confirm automatically.

  • Attribution reuses the deal-registration lock — approving a quotation stamps the referring partner on the client through the same registration path used when a deal is won, so no parallel attribution exists.

  • Commissions unchanged — the company invoices and collects; the existing engine pays the partner on payment. This module adds no commission code.

  • Portal-scoped — partners only ever see and edit their own draft quotations, through a sudo controller with a field whitelist.

Auto-Installation

This bridge installs automatically when the partner portal and Sales are both present: partner autonomy over quotations only makes sense where partners have a portal and the company sells through sale.order.
