Lynx HR LinkedIn - Job Application Autofill

Adds a "Autofill with LinkedIn" button to the public job-application form (/jobs/apply). A candidate signs in with LinkedIn once and their verified name and email are pre-filled into the form - they review, attach their resume, and submit as usual.

Until now the LinkedIn integration only let internal staff connect their own account. This bridge opens a public, candidate-facing flow on the careers form, reusing the same LinkedIn application credentials configured in lynx_linkedin_integration.

What the candidate connect returns

LinkedIn's "Sign in with LinkedIn" (OpenID Connect) only exposes basic identity: full name, email and profile picture. It does not expose work history or skills - those come from the resume, which lynx_website_hr_ocr parses on submit. So LinkedIn fills the identity, the resume fills the rest.

  • Public candidate flow - separate from the per-user staff connection; no res.users token is created for the applicant.

  • One-click autofill - verified name and email pre-filled on the application form for the candidate to review.

  • Signed state - a per-session random state defends the OAuth callback against CSRF and replay.

  • Reuses existing credentials - no new configuration; uses the LinkedIn Client ID / Secret from lynx_linkedin_integration.

  • Graceful fallback - if LinkedIn is unconfigured, denied, or fails, the form is shown unchanged for manual entry.

Configuration

Add <base_url>/linkedin/candidate/callback to the Authorized Redirect URLs of your LinkedIn application (alongside the existing /linkedin/oauth/callback).
