Key Features

• Force-directed graph editor - full-screen canvas with zoom, pan, drag, node search and per-group legend toggles (client action lynx_mindmap_graph).

• Work-weight visualization - node size scales with aggregated weight (weight_total rolls up through parent/child edges).

• Scope tracking - every node is in scope, out of scope or undecided; out-of-scope nodes render dimmed and dashed.

• Typed edges - parent-of, depends-on, blocks and relates-to relations with solid/dashed styling (lynx.mindmap.edge).

• Record linking - nodes can reference other Lynx records through a whitelisted generic reference (res_model/res_id), with read-access masking for viewers who cannot read the target record.

• Sharing model - private, shared-with-users/groups or internal-wide visibility per map, enforced by record rules.

• Extension hook - the lynx.mindmap.provider abstract model lets bridge modules contribute nodes and edges to a map.

How It Works

Create a map, set its visibility (private, shared, or company-wide), then click Open Graph. Double-click the canvas to add nodes; select a node and click Edge to link it to another. The side panel edits each node's scope status, weight and group. Node size scales with rolled-up weight, colors follow groups, and out-of-scope nodes render grey and dashed - so one screen shows what the project is, what it is not, and where the effort sits. A guided walkthrough ships with the module.
